HERRIMAN, Utah (KUTV) — A Herriman building exploded late at night after a car crashed into it, rupturing a gas line and igniting a fire.
The car was involved in a three-way crash late Saturday night, leading to the vehicle slamming into the building and triggering an explosion that destroyed the business, according to Herriman police and Unified Fire Authority.
Photos and videos captured the moment the fire led to an explosion, with debris flying into the air and onto the road.

Residents in the area were evacuated due to the gas leak and later returned to their homes shortly after 1 a.m.
Alec Angeletti, a Herriman resident, said his dogs jumped up as his house rattled from what he initially thought was a firework detonating in his backyard. He then looked outside and saw the aftermath of the huge explosion.
“We [were] just told that a car hit a Domino’s and it all went up in flames,” Angeletti said.
Officials said three people were hospitalized due to the incident. The driver and passenger of the vehicle were rescued by two bystanders moments before the car went up in flames, according to officials.
